Potential” is about understanding the gap between what is and what could be. What “is” or our current outcomes and circumstances are by in large the result of our choices. Our choices are the result of our thinking patterns. So, in order to change our outcomes and circumstances, we have to change our thinking.
Einstein understood the power of thought as did the late Dr. Robert Hartman (1910-1973) who pioneered Formal Axiology, the science of measuring thought. Much like the three primary colors that make up the entire color spectrum, Dr. Hartman distilled thinking down to three dimensions; intrinsic, extrinsic and systemic. By understanding our thinking patterns, clarities and biases across these three dimensions, we are empowered to manage our thoughts more intentionally to get better results much like how a pilot uses instrumentation to navigate a plane.
